Meanwhile a little further up the coast, Bill Ahrens held off Dylan Goodin and Kyle Pokrefky to win the first Late Night Sprint Car Championship event at USA International Speedway. One Caution came out on the night as Ahrens lead flag to flag and nipped goodin at the line by just over half a second. Next week the tour heads just up the coast to Volusia Speedway Park for the second leg of the Gator Nationals.

Justin Rector has a knack for winning thrilling finishes. Following up on his victory at Las Vegas to take the GNS Championship he stretched his fuel longer than Will Roberts, Stephen Laarkamp and Cody Wenzen to take the Toyota Indy 300. Danny Roberts lead the majority of the race but the late race strategy saw him finish further down the order. A full 26 car field started and three drivers were sent home. RWS visits Twin Ring Motegi next week for the Firestone Firehawk 300.
