Meanwhile a little further up the coast, Bill Ahrens held off Dylan Goodin and Kyle Pokrefky to win the first Late Night Sprint Car Championship event at USA International Speedway. Justin Rector has a knack for winning thrilling finishes. Following up on his victory at Las Vegas to take the GNS Championship he stretched his fuel longer than Will Roberts, Stephen Laarkamp and Cody Wenzen to take the Toyota Indy 300. Danny Roberts lead the majority of the race but the late race strategy saw him finish further down the order. A full 26 car field started and three drivers were sent home.
