Warp 4? Laarkamp Takes Win 4 in Sebring

Halloween Night, and lo and behold, Captain Kirk, Stephen Laarkamp, puts the USS 62 in victory lane. Most of the race the reigning champion, who brought out his inner Trekkie for the occasion, had to fend off a hard charging Tim Silliman, a wiley veteran, back on the charge. Despite trouble later on for the native of Nazareth, PA, Silliman still took home second. Geoffrey Price brought home bronze honors in his second career start. Danny Roberts and Rory Collins rounded out the top five. The race was slowed by a single caution on the initial start. Kenyon "The Donald" Payne lit up the rear tires and a bottleneck ensued. While Laarkamp lead 43 of the 44 laps, it was not an easy statistic to achieve. Tim Silliman was riding hot on Laarkamp's tail for the majority of the night. Geoffrey Price also lead a lap. Laarkamp set fast lap on the night at a 54.521 and took pole position, leading to a max points night for the reigning champ. The tour returns next Monday Night, where the blistering desert of Phoenix, Arizona and the Phoenix International Raceway will be a true test of drivers stamina and car control.
