Loggins and Messina? Nah, it's Danny Roberts! Roberts knew when to hold em' and when to fold em' in Kansas. The wayward son lead late in the race when a yellow flag wreaked havoc with the running order, and Roberts and Eric Micke were able to pit under yellow while the field behind waited to be waived around the Safety Car. When the field went back green with five to go, Roberts sat second but was able to make a very aggressive pass stick on Micke and took the lead, and didn't look back. Micke held on for second, local favorite Chris Gutierrez finished third, points leader Stephen Laarkamp was fourth and Cody Wenzen was fifth. Laarkamp still leads the points, but the victory vaults Roberts ahead of Payne for second, where he now sits fifty three points adrift of the reigning champion. Chris Gutierrez lead the most laps on the night while Ken McCoy set fastest lap. Next week the series heads to the Land of the Rising Sun for the Indy Japan 250 from Twin Ring Motegi.
