Down to Nothing

The ISDC Southern 250 was a race full of many almost nothings. The points margin after the checkered flag flew is almost nothing, the margin of victory turned into almost nothing, and the tires that Hoosier is taking home from the South Carolina speedway are down to nothing. It was an old school cage fight of car and track melting to one as the drivers had to fight tires that found difficulty in gripping the race track. Various tire 

strategies unfolded as the race drew on and it was ultimatly Dylan Lee who bested Cody Wenzen for victory. Lee was the only one to make a single stop on the final 74 lap run to the finish, managing his tires and fuel as best he could. Wenzen took two stops and ran flat out trying to get around the #5 Machine but ​he came up just short, coming across just two tenths shy of Lee. 

With just one race left, the points margin is down to nearly nothing. Stephen Laarkamp has lead the points all season but currently sits only one point ahead of Cody Wenzen. Laarkamp has two victories on the season, Daytona and Sonoma, to Wenzen's zero, but Wenzen has been much more consistent, with only one finish outside the top-three.
