Indianapolis, IN- Emulating the 101st Indianapolis 500 of only one year ago, Cody Wenzen took victory in Alexander Rossi fashion, running the car empty coming to the final stop to be able to stretch his fuel one lap longer than everyone else. Wenzen stretched the fuel just far enough to cross the line 13 seconds ahead of Tanner Watkins. Danny Roberts took third, Caeton Bomersbach fourth and Dylan Lee fifth. The race saw a season high 27 starters. Attrition filled the race, many cars had suspension issues, having caught the wall on the exit of one of the four treacherous turns at one point or another. Tanner Watkins lead a race high thirty eight laps. Jonathan Goke had qualified on Pole last week but a late withdrawal meant that Danny Roberts was elevated to Pole Position and received the three point bonus to go with. Caeton Bomersbach was able to take over the points lead after Stephen Laarkamp had troubles early and ended up ten laps down. Next week the series heads to Watkins Glen for the TrueCar Watkins Glen 200, stay tuned to ASN for all the action.
